The Italian Community Center (ICC) & Cafe La Scala Present the Spring Fever Music Series April 2 – May 28, 2015

ICC to host free music series on Tuesday and Thursday nights; open to the public

Milwaukee, Wisconsin, March 16, 2015… The Italian Community Center is offering people a chance to get over the winter blues with its free admission Spring Fever Music Series. All shows will take place at 6:30 p.m. on most Tuesday and Thursday nights, April 2 – May 28 in the Festa Ballroom. Everyone is welcome to attend this popular concert series, which features jazz and blues acts on Tuesday nights, and rock-and-roll bands on Thursday nights. There is also a dance floor set up in the ballroom for those who feel moved by the jazz, blues and good-time rock-and-roll!

Tom Sorce, legendary guitarist and music producer, recording artist and bandleader, put together this year’s “Spring Fever” line-up. Scheduled performances include:

  • April 2 — Noyz Boyz & Gyrlz
  • April 7 — Rev. Raven & The Chain Smokin’ Altar Boys (Blues)
  • April 9 — Bob Hirschi & Groove Therapy
  • April 16 — Larry Lynne Band
  • April 21 — Chris Mariani Band (Jazz and Sinatra)
  • April 30 — Tom Anthony Group
  • May 5 – Pete Sorce with Jeff Lebarge Band (Jazz)
  • May 7 — The Classics (featuring “Guido” of Doo-Wop Daddies)
  • May 12 — Alex Wilson Band (Blues)
  • May 19 — Anita Stemper with Opus (Jazz – CD release party)
  • May 21 — Bob Hirschi & Groove Therapy
  • May 26 — Leroy Airmaster with Junior Brantley (Blues)
  • May 28 — Tom Anthony Group

All guests can enjoy free admission and free parking. Cafe La Scala will be open for food and beverage service in both the restaurant and in the ballroom during shows. The Italian Community Center (ICC) of Milwaukee is an ethnic organization that was founded in 1987 to celebrate the heritage and culture of Wisconsin’s Italian American community. The most visible example of the ICC’s mission is Festa Italiana, a three-day summer festival held annually at Henry Maier Festival Park that features the food, entertainment and cultural exhibits that highlight the Italian experience.
