Festival City Symphony Launches New Website

The goal of the website improvement was to further FCS’s mission of extending the reach of classical music in the community.

Milwaukee, Wis.—Festival City Symphony (FCS), a nonprofit performing arts organization and Wisconsin’s oldest performing symphony orchestra, has updated its website, www.festivalcitysymphony.org, with enhanced interactivity, more concert information and photos, and the ability to purchase season tickets and donate to the organization online.

The goal of the website improvement was to further FCS’s mission of extending the reach of classical music in the community. This mission is met through reasonable pricing, informative concert formats that embrace people of all ages, and now through a responsive online platform.

The website describes both of FCS’s concert series: Symphony Sundays at the Pabst Theater, and free children’s Pajama Jamborees at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts. The website features answers to frequently asked questions, links for engaging with FCS in social media, audio and video of the orchestra, and more.

The blog component of the website allows for a public conversation to include topics such as the inspiration for the music that attendees will hear at upcoming concerts and the benefits of children’s arts programming.

At the start of each concert season, website visitors will be able to purchase season tickets online at a discounted early bird rate using their PayPal accounts or credit card. Visitors also can donate to FCS at any time through the site.

Four concerts remain in the 2014-15 season: “Seascapes,” a Symphony Sundays concert on February 15; “American Masters,” a Symphony Sundays concert on March 15; “Russian Festival,” a Symphony Sundays concert on May 3; and “Spring Into Song,” a Pajama Jamboree concert on May 6.
