Ex Fabula to Kick off 6th Season of events with a special evening of “Classic” stories on the patio.

Milwaukee nonprofit Ex Fabula will kick off its 6th season of building community through the sharing of true, personal stories on Thursday, September 18th from 6 to 9 pm. Join them at the Hot Water Wherehouse’s back patio for the Ex Fabula Season 6 Kickoff Fundraiser – an evening of cocktails, hors d’oeurves, and of course, storytelling.

The evening will feature four “Ex Fabula Classics”, which are some Ex Fabula’s most memorable true and personal stories, retold by the original storytellers. Attendees will also be able to peruse the silent auction, catch up with fellow Ex Fabulites, enjoy tunes from a live DJ, and even share their own stories via UltraShorts, which are 2-5 line true, personal stories written on slips of paper and read onstage by the emcee throughout the evening.

All proceeds from the event support Ex Fabula’s work to strengthen community bonds through the art of storytelling. Ex Fabula’s regular events begin in October; the full season schedule of dates, venues, and event themes will be released at the Kickoff event. Ex Fabula members will be the first to receive the schedule of 6th season events; they also receive discounts on tickets to the Kickoff event along with other membership benefits.
