2014 Wisconsin State Fair

Our photos capture everything the fair has to offer, including pig races, cream puffs and plenty of people.

With a little something for everyone, the Wisconsin State Fair is back for another year. At its permanent home in West Allis, the fair offers up live music, carnival rides, livestock showings, people watching, pig races, Wisconsin-made products and, most importantly, anything you can dream of deep fried on a stick.

The fair always has a couple surprises in store; last year it was New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and his entourage (in town for the Governor’s conference). This year, celebrity sightings included lawyer David Gruber in a Milwaukee Home shirt and Bucks forward John Henson. Yes, The Dial was there Sunday, shooting pictures.

Our photos should get you in a fair-going mood. Wisconsin State Fair runs through August 10th.
