By - Jul 18th, 2014 04:51 pm

The Traveling Beer Garden has arrived Downtown. It made its debut Wednesday at Red Arrow Park on N. Water St, as County Executive Chris Abele made a ceremonial beer purchase for Mayor Tom Barrett. A perfect example of politicians cooperating like the people they’re paid to represent.

The Traveling Beer Garden will pouring beer through July 27th Downtown. It’s open Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and 11:00 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

The beer garden is operated by Sprecher Brewing out of an old fire truck. Benches are available, as well as tables made out of kegs.

The beer garden will make two more stops before the season is over, at Green Park from July 30th through August 10th and Falk Park from August 13th through August 24th.

Stop on down at Red Arrow Park for a cold one. It’s a pleasant change of pace from a park filled with ice skaters and Starbucks drinkers.
