One-hundred years in the making, fashion was on display last night at the centennial celebration for CityCenter at 735. Formerly known as the First National Bank building, the building at 735 N. Water St. was designed by legendary architect Daniel Burnham. Streets around the building were closed for a party last night that included multiple bands, food trucks, vintage clothing and a fashion show that put 100 years of fashion on display.

Organized by Michelle Eigenberger of Bolted Vintage, the show featured decade-by-decade fashion on a runway at the west end of Mason St. With the Milwaukee River serving as the backdrop, models walked the runway to raise money for The Cathedral Center, an organization that works to end homelessness.

Eigenberger worked with Sheila Teruty of So Passé Vintage along with Amanda Mills of Sunshine Acid Designs and Maggie Solveson of BrownCowVintage to pull off the event.

I wish that I had seen this fashion show, which sounds like it was particularly historic!
