It’s back by popular demand. The Milwaukee Opera Theatre is reviving its 2012 show, Fortuna the Time Bender vs. The Schoolgirls of Doom!, which critic Tom Strini called “an irresistible blend of unlikely influences – Comic Books, Gilbert & Sullivan, and rock musicals.”

The entire cast returns from the original production, including Samantha Sostarich as the heroine Fortuna and Nathan Wesselowski as her nemesis, the evil Headmaster. As company’s website wryly notes: “Fortuna is back in all its primary-colored glory, fully restored and digitally re-mastered. (We also laundered all the costumes.)”

The show is written and composed by local composer and sometime performer Jason Powell. As for the cast of returning performers, the Milwaukee Examiner called them an “intrepid troupe of highly-talented singer-dancer-actor-comedians.”

May 7th-24th Doors open at 7:30pm. Tickets are $23.76 and are available online or by calling (800) 838-3006.
