James Blake makes his Milwaukee debut at Turner Hall
The Mercury Prize winner and songwriter/producer will perform at Turner Hall this Thursday in support of his latest album, Overgrown.
James Blake first emerged on the music scene in 2009 as an electronic/dubstep producer, recording songs in his bedroom and releasing EPs while studying popular music at Goldsmiths University in London. With the release of his 2011 self-titled debut album, Blake received praise from both critics and fans alike. It featured singles including “The Wilhelm Scream,” and his cover of Feist’s “Limit to Your Love,” and gave many listeners an introduction to his unique and minimalist sound.
Overgrown is a fantastic addition to Blake’s catalog, and hearing its tracks in the bass-resounding cavern of Turner Hall will be a treat for all in attendance. Don’t miss his Milwaukee debut!
James Blake will make his Milwaukee debut at the Turner Hall Ballroom tomorrow night, Thursday Nov. 14, with special guest Nosaj Thing. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are currently available and can be purchased here.
