Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan rallied a gymnasium full of roughly 1,500 supporters at around 8:30 a.m. on Monday at Carroll University’s Van Male Field House.

Additional speakers at the event, all of whom touted the Packers’ Sunday night win in Houston, included Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, State Rep. Dale Kooyenga (Brookfield), State Sen. Alberta Darling (River Hills), and Paul’s brother Tobin. Governor Scott Walker introduced Ryan.

There was a large national debt ticker scoreboard running in the corner of the gym, which accompanied Ryan’s speech and Power Point presentation against President Obama’s deficit reduction plan. Ryan also briefed the audience on the Romney-Ryan plans for supporting small businesses, health care, job creation and tax reduction.
