The Great Slaughter of 2012

Ty Segall Band's "Slaughterhouse" is a "heavy, unholy racket" that will have you searching Segall's back catalogue for more noisy goodness.

A quick one… it’s Summerfest time and there are about a million shows between Milwaukee and Chicago I’m going to, so… Ty Segall and his band. Holy hell.

Dunno how they do it (“it” being how they get that mid-to-late sixties Amboy Duke audio mud muffle to attach itself to the electronic guitar wall o’ squall) but this fella named Ty Segall and his pals, they do it. From the very first track to the last, Slaughterhouse makes a heavy, unholy racket, and if you slipped this disc into the ancient, gnarled paws of Mr. Dick Biondi, you could tell him that The Ty Segall Band was a Bay Area band from Dick’s Golden Era THAT HE SLEPT ON, and he’d likely believe you.

Biondi would probably jump off a building if you did that, so don’t. I myself was ready to jump off a building for same the reason, but Segall has recorded a shit-ton (unit of measure) of material since 2005 and I need to get bizzy and catch up on all that noisy goodness.
